Map Crawl
A downloadable game
Map Crawl, it's like a hex crawl or point crawl, but different and with drawing.
Map Crawl is meant to supplement your regular game by having the group collectively fill in the map.
You need to get a map. You're going to draw on it.
The party moves around the map. When they get to a new location mark it on the map and each player draws some 'thing' that is there. There are prompts you can roll for. The GM now has a bunch of visual cues to fill in this location.
The drawings become the start of the party's sheet of notes about this location.
The players keep the notes about what they know. The GM keeps track of what they don't know and might want to return to handle.
Released CC BY 4.0. Background maps are public domain.
I like booklets. What's more handy and portable than a sheet of paper? A sheet of paper folded in half. To print the main file select: double sized, short edge flip and fold it in half.
Some people might want to access this game supplement without printing; for you there is the "PAGES" file.
This project uses a custom font. If it is too distracting or difficult to read, use the "EASY FONT" file - also this file doesn't use the background images.
